Communicating Reality Internship 2011
June - July 2011

Centre for Civil Society (CCS) invites applications for the Communicating Reality Internship program, an extension of its much-acclaimed Researching Reality Internship.

The Communicating Reality Internship is an opportunity to explore social and economic dimensions of real life issues through creative mediums like video documentaries, newspaper articles, blogs, social media, and strategic communication.

Through the Communicating Reality internship CCS introduces young college students to innovative ideas on development and enhances their skills set through a series of workshops. Interns will also have an opportunity to interact with a host of in-house experts on public policy, advocacy, communication, and translate ideas into creative forms.

Why Be a Communicating Reality Intern?

The Communicating Reality Internship program will help young people

  • Develop an understanding of socio-economic issues with a special focus on the possible roles of government, markets, and civil society groups;
  • Interview prominent economists, opinion makers, and policy leaders;
  • Create innovative projects with peer research interns;
  • Work on developing and design CCS website;
  • Learn strategic communications and collateral development; and
  • Write opinion pieces and commentary for leading newspapers.

Application Process

Please send a short note (less than 100 words) on why you would like to intern with CCS along with a sample of video or published articles before 5 June 2011.  Send your applications to internship@ccs.in mentioning “Communicating Reality Internship” as the subject.
